At the AGM for the Polar Capital Global Financials Trust on 30 March, Nick Brind and George Barrow discussed why the fear and contagion in the banking sector, arising from the recent collapses of Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank and Credit Suisse, feels overdone. They considered how the sector overall remains well capitalised, with strong forward earnings estimates and structural growth opportunities.

Nick and George also explained how they have positioned the Trust in light of the recent volatility, as well as to take advantage of the now record-low valuations within Financials and the sectors long-term recovery potential.
